Ductless mini split installation across the Hill Country
Ductless heating and cooling for shops, garages, additions, casitas and rooms the main system never quite reaches.
A ductless mini split is the most useful piece of equipment we install. It puts heating and cooling exactly where you need it, without tearing a house apart to run duct, and it does it at efficiency levels a conventional split system cannot touch.
Around Bandera, Pipe Creek and Lakehills we put them in metal shops, detached garages, guest casitas, sunrooms, converted porches and second-story bedrooms that have always run ten degrees hotter than the rest of the house. In older Boerne homes they solve additions that were never on the original ductwork.
The install is where mini splits are won or lost. A pressure test, a real vacuum, a torque wrench on every flare, and a line set routed so it drains the way the manufacturer intended. We do all of it, every time, and we document it.

Zone by zone control
Every head runs on its own thermostat. Cool the shop without cooling the house, heat one bedroom overnight without running the whole system.
No ductwork required
A three inch penetration is all it takes. That makes mini splits the practical answer for additions, garages and any space duct was never run to.
Heat pump in both directions
Modern inverter heat pumps keep producing usable heat well below freezing, which covers a Hill Country winter without electric strip heat running your bill up.
Quiet enough to sleep next to
Indoor heads run in the low twenty decibel range on low fan. Guests in the casita will not hear it cycle.

One room never gets comfortable
A bonus room, a west-facing bedroom or an addition that runs hot no matter where you set the thermostat is a load problem, not a thermostat problem.
You are heating or cooling a shop
Metal buildings swing hard with the weather. A properly sized mini split holds a workable temperature without a duct system.
You want to stop running the whole system
If you are cooling four thousand square feet to keep one office comfortable, a mini split pays for itself in the shoulder seasons.

- Condensate routed to daylight or to a pump where gravity will not do it
- Startup readings recorded and left with you: superheat, subcool, delta T, amp draw
- Manufacturer registration filed so your warranty actually starts

How much does a mini split cost to install in the Hill Country?
A single head system for a typical room or garage generally lands between 3,500 and 6,500 dollars installed, depending on capacity, efficiency and how far the line set has to run. Multi zone systems go up from there. We quote a firm number after seeing the space, and the quote is what you pay.
Will a mini split heat my shop in a Texas cold snap?
Yes. Current inverter heat pumps still produce meaningful heat down into the teens, which covers nearly every night we get here. For uninsulated metal buildings we size with that in mind and tell you honestly what to expect on the coldest mornings.
How many indoor heads can one outdoor unit run?
Common outdoor units support two to five indoor heads. Multi zone is convenient, though a pair of single zone systems is often more efficient and easier to service. We will tell you which makes more sense for your layout.
Do mini splits need maintenance?
Less than a ducted system, but not none. The washable filters need rinsing every month or two, and the indoor blower wheel and coil should be cleaned yearly. Skipping that is the single most common reason a mini split starts smelling musty.
Can you install a unit I already bought?
We can, and we will be straight with you about it. Most online kits carry no usable warranty once someone other than the seller installs them, and precharged line sets are easy to damage. We will quote the labor and note what you are giving up.
